Research

The IMPACT chair supports several collaborative training by research programs (Doctoral thesis, post-docs, Master internships, work-study internships) aiming to accelerate the discovery of new materials for the development of innovative elaboration processes. They are internal CEA projects financed by the CEA cross-cutting program on Materials and Processes, some of them are in collaboration with academic and/or industrial partners. In the last two cases, a co-financing agreement can be implemented. In particular, this situation occurs in the cases of projects co-financed by the PEPR DIADEM international doctoral and postdoctoral program. Research projects may target any step of Materials life cycle, from design to the end of life and recycling including elaboration steps. Then, the aim is to provide a holistic vision of Materials science and engineering, digital approaches and, in particular, the use of Artificial Intelligence that could impact each step of the life cycle. Finaly, the goal is to promote acceleration platforms and autonomous laboratories usage implemented by CEA in the scope of PEPR DIADEM.
